PhD Axel Michaelowa
Axel Michaelowa holds a PhD in Economics and has worked on international climate policy instruments and the UNFCCC process since 1994. From 1999 to 2006, he was head of the Research Programme ”International Climate Policy” at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWA). Since 2007 he has been leading a research group on climate policy at the University of Zurich’s Institute of Political Science.

MSc Sonja Butzengeiger
Sonja Butzengeiger holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Protection (MSc). She has worked in the area of Kyoto Mechanisms (CDM/JI) and EU emissions trading since 1999. She was member of the Research Programme ‘International Climate Policy’ at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWA) from 2000 to 2005. At Perspectives, her focus lies in consulting for companies that operate installations under the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) – both regarding an emissions trading strategy and the integration of CERs/ERUs.

MSc Matthias Krey
Matthias Krey holds a degree in Energy and Environmental Management (MSc) and has worked in the field of climate policy since 2001. From 2003 to 2004 he was employed part-time at the University of Flensburg (Department of Energy Resource Economics) as a research fellow in international climate policy. Since joining Perspectives in 2004, Matthias Krey has developed a number of CDM methodologies and has been managing various CDM projects in the UNFCCC registration process (e.g. N2O abatement, energy efficiency and renewable energy).

MSc Sven Feige
Sven Feige holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Protection (MSc). From 2001 to 2003 he worked as a project engineer for Pro2 Anlagentechnik GmbH, a German producer of technical gas utilization equipment. He is working with Perspectives since 2006 and developed a new baseline methodology for energy efficiency projects.

MPA Daisuke Hayashi
Daisuke Hayashi holds degrees in environmental policy and engineering (MPA). He has been involved in climate policy issues since 2002. Before joining Perspectives in 2007, he worked for the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) as a research fellow on international climate policy from 2005 onwards. Together with Perspectives, he has developed numerous PDDs and CDM methodologies - e.g. for supercritical coal-fired power generation and N2O abatement projects.

M.A. Björn Dransfeld
Björn Dransfeld holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and Economics and is involved in climate policy since 2005. His studies focussed on environmental, climate and energy policy and the European Emissions Trading Scheme. At Perspectives he is involved in different policy related subjects and CDM/JI consultancy projects as well as in administrative and organizational issues.

Stefan Wehner studied industrial engineering with a major in Energy- and Environmental Management at the University of Flensburg, Germany. He has study abroad experiences in Australia and Denmark. Working for SunTechnics GmbH, Germany and MVV Energie AG, Germany, Mr. Wehner got practical experiences in the area of solar enery - planning and construction of photovoltaic systems.

MSc Marc André Marr
Marc André Marr holds a degree in Energy and Environmental Mangement and has a thorough knowledge on renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and the energy sector as a whole. From 2005-2007 he worked for the German utility E.On Bayern. At Perspectives, he is responsible for the management of CDM and JI project activities with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

MSc Michel Köhler
Michel Köhler holds a degree in Industrial Engineering. His studies in Germany and Canada focused on Renewable Energy and Environmental Management. Before joinging Perspectives, he worked for the wind power developer SoWiTec and was responsible for the trading of wind energy and the management of wind projects under the CDM in Latin America.
