REDD+ study presented to Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development (German Parliament)

Dr. Axel Michaelowa was called by Parliamentary Committee to answer questions on study written by Perspectives.

On November 18, Dr. Axel Michaelowa and Dr. Sabine Reinecke (University of Freiburg) were called by the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development of the German Parliament to answer questions on a synthesis study prepared by Perspectives Climate Research. The study assesses the German portfolio of activities supporting forest protection in developing countries under REDD+. In its official statement to the Committee, the German government stressed the high importance of the study. A REDD+ working group has been set up in order to follow up on the study’s outcomes.
