Malik Bahir is a Hydraulic and Fluid Mechanics Engineer specialized in water and environment. Before joining Perspectives, he worked several years in an international research team co-led by IRD (French Institute of Researches for Development) and INRA (French National Institute for Agricultural Research). His focus was to perform estimation of crops water needs in semi-arid areas to prevent resource exhaustion in a changing climate context across the Mediterranean Area (Syria, Tunisia, France).
Malik was involved in field work and measurements campaign, as well as modelling and programming tasks.
Since he joined Perspectives, Malik Bahir is working on the estimation of GHG emissions and mitigation scenarios in different sectors such as transportation, energy efficiency or renewable energy and participates to several consultancy projects. He is supporting NAMA and MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) projects in Spanish, French and English speaking countries.
