Laila Darouich holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Konstanz and graduated in 2020 from the international Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Freiburg. During her academic and vocational training, she worked on environmental economics, ESG risk assessments and the ecology of climate change. Furthermore, she has developed expertise in environmental statistics, climate modelling and coding with R and MATLAB.
Laila joined Perspectives in 2019. As trainee consultant and researcher, she works on projects related to climate change adaptation and climate finance. Laila supported ABM EC member Axel Michaelowa in drafting a literature study on adaptation metrics as well as methodology-related documents necessary to operationalize the ABM. Currently, Laila assists in drafting the Mitigation chapter of the Palestinian Biennial Update Report as well as of the Ethiopian NDC Update.
