Sandra Dalfiume studied a M.Sc. in Environmental Governance at the University of Freiburg, Germany, with a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Sandra also holds a Law degree from Universidad del Pacifico, in her home country Peru. She has been working on environment- and climate-related topics since 2014. She has experience working in the interlinkages between international and domestic climate policies such as how UNFCCC decisions should be incorporated in the domestic systems, alignment of international agenda (Paris Agreements, Sustainable Development Goals) with domestic goals, from a project and research-based approach. Before joining Perspectives, she worked at Conservation International- Peru as an Environmental Policy Coordinator providing advice and working in projects mainly related to REDD+, social safeguards and Indigenous Peoples rights. Sandra joined Perspectives in 2020 and since then she has been involved in research analysis and project management in several sectors such as climate finance, low carbon development strategies, NDCs, carbon markets, agriculture and LULUCF. She speaks fluently Spanish and English.
